The Bank of Industry, BOI, has said it will continue to support MSMEs in the country. The revelation came at an Exhibition and International Investment Forum held on Victoria Island, Lagos. A representative of the bank, Promise Ike, said that the BoI holds MSEMs as being central to the nation’s economic growth and overall wellbeing. Organised with the theme, All Hands on Deck, the forum was well attended by stakeholders across the MSME value chain, who interacted on issues which, when resolved, would advance the sector they described as holding the key to Nigeria’s economic prosperity. Convener of the forum, Shade Bembatoum Young, in a chat with Ibile.TV, said the aim was to encourage partnership across the value chain. She added that the youth are both the present and the future of the continued growth of SMEs , citing the youngest entrants at the exhibition, namely, Christabel (10) and Blossom (12) as well as Otu Effiong fashion designers who emerged winners of excellence, as young MSME of the year at the national MSME clinic held in Abuja.
