The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development (MPPP&UD), Arc. Foluso Dipe has urged the staff of Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA) and the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) to imbibe the right attitudes towards their duties and the public for the development of the Ministry and the State.
He enjoined them to show respect and courtesies to the people, stressing that those who act in contrary will be sanctioned and changed for acts inimical to professional ethics.
Arc. Dipe, who disclosed this on Tuesday during a familiarization visit to LASPPPA and LASBCA’s Headquarters at Oba Akinjobi Way, GRA Ikeja, stated that, in line with the present administration’s decision to make the issue of environment one of its THEMES focal policy, there is a need for the Ministry to make the requisite changes for the successful implementation of the policy.
In his words, “The purpose of this familiarization tour is to share with the entire staff the vision of the present administration as well as inform you that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has made MPPP&UD and its Agencies a focus of its administration, as such each of us must be ready to embrace necessary changes that would effectively position the Ministry in the nearest future.
While imploring the staff to be professional and thorough in the discharge of their duties, he called for effective cooperation and collaboration between LASPPPA and LASBCA for the development of the Ministry.
Responding, the General Manager of LASPPPA, Tpl. Funmi Osifuye thanked the Permanent Secretary for the visit, pledged the support of staff and their readiness for the task ahead.
